"I have known David Triestram for nearly 15 years and have worked with him on numerous occasions. For several years he was my principle coach (during 1992-96, when I lived close to his studio). I found him a knowledgeable and congenial coach. I spent a lot of time working with him on new music and also on the difficult Strauss arias. His depth of knowledge was extremely useful to me".

"David Triestram has become an invaluable partner by coaching my students, accompanying them in recitals, and preparing them for auditions. David's knowledge of operatic repertoire, French mélodies and German lieder is second to none and phenomenal by any standard. Having honed his skills by working with the great and near great among opera and concert singers, first by living for 30 years in New York City just a stone's throw from the Metropolitan Opera House and by extensively traveling the world to accompany celebrated singers and instrumentalists in recital, he brings a depth of knowledge and experience far greater than that offered by virtually all French musicians in his field".

I have been working with David Triestram here in Paris for the better part of a decade. He is an accomplished and talented pianist and his vast knowledge and experience of vocal repertoire, most notably of 20th century and modern opera has been invaluable to me as this is the mainstay of my activity as a singer.

He is a brilliant sight-reader, making sense of even complicated hand-written orchestral scores. He possesses a wealth of information (both musical and linguistic) with regard to performance practices and traditions. His humor and easy-going nature contribute to a relaxed yet exacting working environment, and his commitment to precision and excellence in music-making is always at the fore.

I first met David when I was an apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera and he was the
nimble-fingered genius who played Massenet’s Thäis for my apprentice
presentation scene evening. We struck the right chord then and to this day we are still collaborating! His insight into so many different kinds of music has been invaluable to me. From Messian to Sondheim, Bernstein to Strauss, he is able to get to the heart of every composer.
Whether in the recording studio, on the recital stage, or in the rehearsal studio, his great love of music shines through. It has,and continues to be, a great joy to work with him.
